Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who loved to write in her diary. She was hiding from the Nazis in 1942. She had a family of four. She was the youngest one in her family. She lived with her mother, father and sister. Anne wanted to become a famous writer when she was growing up.. She wrote in her diary every day. She was very talkative in her classes.

Anne’s family moved to Amsterdam because the Jews were more welcome there than in Germany. Anne and her sister Margot were admitted to a public school nearby. They had to learn Dutch to understand the people there.

Otto the only one out of their family who survived the holocaust and he published Anne’s diary. Soon the book was very famous and it was translated into lots of different languages.

Last month in Jestha we read the same book, “The Diary of the Young Girl” by Anne Frank. There are many important messages in this book, but the most important message is that everyone has the right to live freely. Anne's experience shows that just because an individual may be different from one religion or another, does not mean that he/she should be treated differently.

In 1945, Anne died in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Her life was very interesting and we will always remember her.
