Once upon a time, there lived a little girl named Kate. Her mother died when she was 5 years old, and her father remarried to a woman who was greedy and rude. Her name was Mary. She only married Kate’s father for his money and Kate knew about it because she heard her stepmother talking to someone else on the phone. She tried to tell her father but she could not get the private time to talk to her father. Whenever she tried to talk to her father, the stepmother interrupted them. As the year passed, the stepmother gave birth to two children named Pottery and Simon. They all were rude to Kate. They behaved to her as an outsider in the house. The father had noticed everything and warned the stepmother to behave nicely with Kate or else he would leave her.
One day her father went on a business trip and he died in a car accident. On the day of his will, he left his money and house for his daughter but the stepmother lied to her and said “Your father gave everything to me, so I am the owner of the house.” The stepmother made her do all the household chores and did not let her eat food and break until she finishes the chores.
One day the stepmother went to the party with her two children Pottery and Simon. When Kate was cleaning the drawers she found a note that her father left for the will, she read it and found out that her father left everything to her and she was the real owner of the house. When the stepmother came back she showed her the note and asked her to leave the house immediately. Stepmother started to cry and asked her for forgiveness. Kate was a kind girl who forgave her. From that day on stepmother started to do all the household chores and Kate lived happily.
