Yesterday we celebrated Janai Purnima by eating kwati, tying rakhi to our brothers or sisters. We also tied doro in our hands. Janai Purnima is special for Newars because it is the festival of Newars but everybody celebrates this festival. On this day brothers promise sisters they will always protect their sisters when they are in need.
