Football is the most popular sport in the world. As we know, football is a team sport and it has 11 players in each team. There are different positions for a player in football according to their qualities. It helps to make a balanced team that can play good football.
Strikers are the ones who play the role of a goalscorer. Their main objective is to score goals by taking passes from other teammates. Strikers are considered by many football fans to be the best players of the football team. As we all know, the team which scores more goals within a 90 minutes period is declared as the winner in a football match. So, in a general sense, strikers are the most important players of the team. The market value of strikers are quite higher than other positions as most of the football greats are strikers like Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo,etc. These players are considered to be the best players of their generation. The best players of this generation like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo also play the part of strikers. The ballon d’or which is provided to the best player in the world in a particular year is also won by strikers 90% of the time. Strikers have a huge impact on a team. So, strikers are mostly the best players of the team and play a huge role in building a great football team. The reason for considering strikers as the best players in the team is that they are the ones who score goals and a common man will always remember the person who scores goals more than the person who saves goals. So, strikers are one of the vital parts of a football team.
Hence, we can say that the importance of a good striker in a football team. It plays a very vital role in making a balanced football team. We can clearly see that the best teams in the world of football have the best strikers the world has ever seen. So, the striker position is regarded as the most important in a football team.
