Euthanasia should be legalized

Euthanasia is a process in which a person who is suffering from an incurable disease, painful disease or in an irreversible coma is killed in a painless manner. Euthanasia is legal in countries such as Belgium, New Zealand, Colombia, Canada, Spain, etc. But it is not legalized in our country Nepal.
The money and resources used for a patient’s health is very valuable. If a person requests for euthanasia on his/her condition with incurable disease or a painful disease, they should have that option of their own death as using the resources to care the person would be a huge waste. Using those resources to save the lives of a curable patient should be the main priority.
People request for euthanasia as they cannot bare the pain of the disease. For many people, having a quality life is more important than the length of their life. It is pointless to force a person to live longer by using the valuable resources if they are guaranteed to die from the disease. We as a bystanders cannot imagine the pain the patient is going through by just looking so, judging the patient’s opinion on doing euthanasia is ignorant.
But the option of euthanasia should only be a last resort option and should be the personal choice of the patient.
