The human teeth function to mechanically break down items of food by cutting and crushing them in preparation for swallowing and digesting. Humans have four types of teeth: incisor, canines, premolar, and molars, each has a specific function. The incisors cut the food, the canines tear the food and the molars and premolars crush the food. The roots of teeth are embedded in the upper jaw or the lower jaw and are covered by gums. Teeth are made of multiple tissues of varying density and hardness. Humans develop two sets of teeth. The first set of teeth is called "primary teeth", "baby teeth", or "milk teeth", normally it contains 20 teeth. Primary teeth typically start to appear around six months of age and this may be distracting or painful for the baby. They begin to fall out when a child is around 6 years old. They are replaced by a set of 32 permanent teeth, which are also called secondary or adult teeth.
All the teeth are important,t so we need to take proper care of our teeth. For that, we must visit a dentist every six months and brush out teeth twice a day.
