Plants are living things that grow from the soil and turn light from the Sun into food. Plants can be big or small, from giant trees to tiny patches of moss. Plants use a process called photosynthesis to turn sunlight into food in their leaves. They can then use this food to grow. Plants are living organisms that cover much of the land of planet Earth. You see them everywhere. They include grass, trees, flowers, bushes, ferns, mosses, and more. Plants are members of the kingdom Plantae.
Plants make oxygen which is very important for our survival. Human beings are fully dependent on plants for survival. People cut down trees to make furniture and other things needed for construction. As I look around my house I can see that a lot of the things I have are made of wood. The chair I am sitting on, the pencils I use to write, the dining table, and even the house is made of wood.  People also waste a lot of paper without thinking that they are killing trees; people should recycle and think twice when they waste paper. People have to grow a higher number of plants than the number they cut down. This is necessary because if the number of plants in the world is too low there would be too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere; this would be harmful to us because the air would be contaminated. So we need to grow more plants and save trees.
