Aespa is a korean girl group which consists of 4 members Karina, Gissele, Winter and Ningning and they are under SM entertainment. This group debuted on November 17 2020 with a debut song “Black Mamba”. It was also called as one of the most successful debuts. Even though they have just debuted a year ago, they still have made high achievements. Their fandom name is MY.
Their name comes from combining ‘æ’ derived from ‘Avatar X Experience’ & ‘aspect’. The meaning behind the name is various innovative activities to come with the theme of ‘Experiencing a new world via the encounter of the ‘avatar’, your other self’.
The first and the oldest member of this group is Karina who trained for 4 years. She is the leader, Main dancer, lead vocalist, lead rapper, visual, center and the face of the group. Her real name is Yu Ji Min. The next member is Gissele who trained for 10 months which is a short time. Her positions are main rapper and sub-vocalist. Her real name is Uchinaga Aeri. The third member is Winter who also trained for 7 years. She is the lead vocalist, lead dancer and visual of the group. Her real name is Kim Min Jeong. The last and the youngest member of the group is Ningning. She is the main vocalist and the youngest member of the group.
On December 26, members Karina and Winter were revealed as members of upcoming supergroup Got the Beat. The group debuted with the single Step Back on January 3, 2022.
Till now, they have released a single album SAVAGE and have 4 music videos. I hope they will become more popular in future.
