What if I say, the red roses will turn into turquoise color due to climate change in some decades? The increasing temperature not only affects the weather, wildlife, it is also affecting the flowers to change their color. Somehow it sounds meaningless but due to the increase in temperature, it is confirmed that the deterioration of the ozone layer causes the flow of harmful UV radiation rays. The UV radiation rays are not just harmful to humans but also to flowers.
The pigmentation present in the flowers has increased over the period which leads to the degradation of the pollen.  We can compare the temperature today to being much higher than the temperature 8 years ago. Due to changes in climates, some flowers are darkening their hue to protect themselves from the sun’s radiation. The flowers are affected all over the world by damaging flower pollen.
Many species have twisted their appearances, changed their habitats, and altered reproductive strategies as they adapt to the effect of climate change. The species of the flowers which are in the area with more UV exposure had more UV pigments. UV pigments are invisible to the human eye but it creates problems for the pollinators which rely on the colors to find and pollinate flowers.
So the changing of color in flowers has become an easy process due to climate change. Everybody must know to be protected from the harmful UV rays. We should plant many plants and we should try to use a lot of mulch as it helps in retaining water. Also, we should try to cover the flowers with shade cloth. The biggest mistake most people make is, they use a lot of fertilizers hoping to get beautiful plants or flowers but the result is negative, it degrades the quality of soil and less plants or flowers will be grown. Therefore, we must take good care of flowers because it has a lot of benefits for us human beings.
