Just that small faith

There is this girl named Ivani who is known for her personality. She was very kind and helpful. She always used to help anyone in need. She used to stay at the hostel as she had lost her parents in the accident when she was young. Since childhood, she used to stay alone. She was not so good at studies cause she never had someone that could counsel her. No one was by her side when all she needed was love and care. After the classes were over, she always used to see her classmates and their parents being happy. She always hoped each day that maybe someone will be there for her but again each day alas, that never happened for her.
Unknowingly day by day she started to envy her friends. Even at the hostel parents used to come to visit their children and take them home during the weekends. But Ivani knew that no one was going to come to take her home or even visit her but also she kind of had that little hope that maybe today someone will come for her. But as usual, she was alone. She felt left out. There was no one by her side during her hard times. She moved to a different school at the age of 13. She moved to a different and very unrelated school. Everyone and everything was totally new to her, her friends, her roommates, her classes, everything. She had a very hard time getting along with her friends and classmates.
As the time passed she slowly distanced and closed herself up from everyone she knew. To her, it seems like her world was only limited to her school and her hostel. She stopped herself from opening up to anyone or even trying to talk to anyone. She always thought that she was always on her own no matter what she did or said, she would overthink everything. ‘Maybe they are looking at me because I did something wrong’ or ‘ I probably said something that’s why they are mad’, her anxiety and overthinking was getting worse day by day, it reached the point where she just wanted to disappear so that she didn’t have to face this loneliness. But she still had her faith that maybe someday, something would happen, something miraculous, something that would make everything better. Just that small faith in herself never made her take a wrong step in her life, she tried to stay optimistic as long as she could.
And the miracle that she had been waiting to happen did take place but it was a little different than what she had expected. The miracle was in the form of a guy, a friend that was completely opposite of what she was. He was the kind of person that could make a person smile just by looking or by being in his presence. He was the popular guy who everyone couldn’t stop talking about ‘Kai did this’ ‘ Kai did that’ whereas Ivani was invisible to everyone. Even though Ivani didn’t talk much. Kai was always bothering her either by teasing her or by teaching her. He was always there for her. She just never noticed him, never tried to cause her anxiety, never let her notice Kai being there for her no matter what. But Kai on the other hand would always try to talk to her no matter what she said or did he had these feelings that he should protect Ivani or help her in any way he could.
As the time passed Kai helped Ivani to open up to him. Slowly it  began working out as well, Ivani started talking to Kai about everything to the point where she was like an open book to him. Slowly she started to see life from a different perspective and she eventually began enjoying her life where her world was not limited to her school and hostel. She actually liked being around people and talking to them, she liked trying new stuff and she liked Kai.

So just that little faith she had, worked out wonders in her favour.
