Our school gave us a Dashain break. I love the Dashain festival as it is the main festival of the Hindu religion. This time in Dashain, we planned to go to Jhapa, my maternal house. During the break, I visited many temples with my parents. I went to Bhatbhateni to buy a new dress for Dashain, but I did not find any dresses of my choice. So I bought a pair of shoes. The next day, I bought a dress from Chabahil. We celebrated Ashtami and Navami of Dashain grandly. My mom prepared delicious food. On the 10th day of Dashain, I wore a new dress and shoes and put tika and Jamara from my elders. I got blessings and money from my parents. We went to our relatives’ house to put on a tika. In the evening, my mother and I packed clothes for Jhapa and travelled on a night bus. I was very happy to meet my grandparents. We reached Jhapa in the morning. When I saw my grandparents, I hugged them. My maternal uncle and aunt were also there to welcome us. I put tika from my maternal. The next day, the whole family went to the lake for a picnic. We visited many places in Jhapa as well. We stayed in Jhapa for a few days because we did not get the return ticket. Finally, we got the ticket and returned to Kathmandu. In this way, I celebrated my Dashain.
