The Solar System is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. There are 8 planets in our solar system, they always revolve around the Sun. The first planet is Mercury. It is the smallest planet in our solar system and this planet is the closest planet to the sun and it is grey in colour and its temperature is hot. The second planet is Venus, it is also the closest planet to the sun. It spins clockwise and the other planets spin anti-clockwise. The third planet is our home Earth, it is the only planet where life is possible, there is water, air, oxygen, and many more. The fourth planet is Mars, it has a red spot and it is the second smallest planet in the solar system. The fifth planet is Jupiter, it is the largest planet in the solar system. The sixth planet is Saturn, this planet has a ring around its body so Saturn's ring is beautiful and we can see with a telescope properly. The seventh planet is Uranus, which rotates at a nearly 90-degree angle from the plane of its orbit. This unique tilt makes Uranus appear to spin on its side. So last but not least it is Neptune so Neptune is the eighth planet in our solar system so it is dark and blue in colour and this is far from the sun and it is colder than other planets in our solar system.
