Every one of us knows this is a proverb. The main motive to use this proverb is to know how precious time is. Every person has 24 hours, without attempting unnecessary things and causing trouble one should focus on important work. In simple words, it means if we correct a mistake in time then it saves us from being in trouble. If we do not correct our mistakes in time, it may bring great hardship to us in the future. If it is not fixed in time then we need a good amount of labor to set it right later. Human nature is not perfect. Knowingly or unknowingly humans tend to commit mistakes, and Instead of being afraid, we should try to fix that mistake or things on time. Life can be successful and happy if we learn to correct mistakes on time.
To take an instance; If a piece of cloth is torn at a point, we should stitch it at once. If it is not mended in time, the hole grows bigger and bigger and needs a lot of stitching. Increment of one's bad habit may destroy himself/herself as well as one's family. If a patient is treated in time, then it can be cured. If the disease is allowed to spread then one might have to pay the price by losing their life.
Following this proverb has numerous benefits such as focusing on your goal, knowing the value of time, etc. So, we should learn to correct mistakes instead of running from them. We should teach others as well about the importance of time.
