The environment is the surrounding in which we live. The environment includes everything living and non-living like people, animals, plants etc. We all are dependent on the environment for food, air, water and other needs. So, a clean environment is necessary for living. Our environment is getting polluted day by day.  Environmental pollution is the mixing of unwanted things into it. Humans play a vital role in the degradation of the environment. There are various types of pollution like air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, noise pollution etc. Now, it is our human responsibility to protect our earth from pollution.
The only way we can get rid of pollution is to:
 Plant more trees.
Stop using plastic bags.
Use public transport.
Keep the surroundings clean.
Keep the water resources clean.
The wastes like dry leaves, fruits peels, eggshells, paper and leftover food. items can be converted into compost and used as manure.
Use a dustbin separately for disposal and non-disposal.
The cutting of trees is one of the reasons for environmental pollution. So instead of cutting trees, we should plant more and more trees to enhance the beauty of the earth. On 5th June, we celebrate World Environment Day, so not only on that particular day, but we should plant trees whenever we think it is necessary to do so.
