I have read many books, but my favourite book is Diary of the Wimpy Kid: “The Ugly Truth” written by Jeff Kinney. I love to read this book because it is funny. There are 217 pages in this book. There are seven main characters, and they are Greg, his mom, dad, big brother, small brother Manny & his best friend Rowley, and finally his grandmother Gammie. On the first page, it was written that he and his best friend Rowley had a fight and a half week later he thought that his best friend would come crawling back to him but that did not happen. So, he started to worry because his school was going to start after a few days and he needed a best friend. So, he went to the market in search of a new best friend. He met many friends but the problem was that he had spent many times with Rowley. So, it was hard for him to replace Rowley with another friend. The friends he met were Christopher, Tyson, and Fregley. He did not like Christopher because he liked summer and the only time they can play and have fun with each other was in summer, so he did not like Christopher. Another friend was Tyson, he thought that Tyson was nice enough, but he always pulls his pant all the way down during the washroom, and Fregley his mouth was too big, and he tells some joke like ‘I can fit your whole foot on my mouth’. The funniest part that I like is the ice-cream act that he was doing for the TV show. In a long queue, there were all small kids only. When it was finally his turn, he holds an ice cream and speaks for the advertisement but right then his ice cream melted and he trips over the ice cream and falls to the ground. Another funny part is that when he was small, he sang nursery rhymes in front of his relatives by thinking that they would all clap but the same relatives made jokes about him. On the other hand, the relatives clapped for his best friend Rowley.
At last, I want others to read this book too.
