There are different cultures in our country. But today, I am going to write about Newari culture because I am related to Newari culture as I am myself a Newar. The Kathmandu valley is rich with the Newari culture of the Nepal Mandala. According to the census of Nepal, 84.13 percent of  Newar are Hindus and 15.31 percent are Buddhists. But most of the Newar practice both Hinduism and Buddhism. The main religions of Newar are Vajrayana Buddhism (Buddha marghi) and Tantric Hinduism (Shiva marghi).

Newar culture is rich in many things. There are different dresses, food, festivals, rituals, traditions in Newari culture. There are more than 26 Newar castes in Nepal. There are different castes of Newar such as  Sangat, Shakya, Shrestha, Dangol, Bajracharya, etc. Newar culture is different from other cultures. In the Newar culture, there are different festivals like jatras, Yomari Punhi, Shree Panchami etc. Newari people mostly live in Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, and Kathmandu.

Newari communities are also known for their rich food. They have a lot of social gatherings and together in such gatherings they make a wide variety of food. The most famous food in the Newar community are Baji(beaten rice), Chatanmari(rice flour crepe), Chhusya(parched wheat), Choila(ground buffalo meat) Kan(popcorn), Haja(steamed rice), Jakimari(rice flour pancake ) etc.
