The largest carnivore is polar bear with 450 mass and females have 150 mass. They are found in cold and ice places. They live in an area of the globe called the Arctic Circle. They love to swim and eat seals. They are amazing swimmers. TheĀ  swim for going from one place to another place and for relaxing. To hunt seals polar bears use sea ice as a platform . Polar bears are considered threatened species. They are about seven to eight feet long, (measured from the nose to the tip of their very short tail). Male polar bears are much larger than the females. An adult large male can weigh more than 1,700 pounds, while an adult large female is about half that size (up to 1,000 pounds). Polar bears have black skin but it shows white because of transparency. It is the largest carnivore that lives on land. Seals make up most of a polar bears diet. Polar bears are also dangerous because it kills humans as well. But polar bears are also endangered animals because of global warming. Because of global warming caused by holes in the ozone layer, oil and gas mining, and the reduction of seals available to eat in their habitat are some of the reasons they have become an endangered species.
