ICC World Cup is  the international championship of Twenty20 international cricket which is organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). 16 teams will be there in the tournament while top 10 teams in rankings will be automatically selected and the remaining 6 teams will be chosen through T20 World Cup Qualifier. Then 2 qualified teams will play against lower rankings teams. Now they will be playing in super 10 where 5 teams are kept in group A and remaining teams will be in group 5. Finally first and second teams in each poll will be in play-offs. In the semifinal the first poll first ranking and second poll second ranking will play against each other and the winner will be in the final. Same goes to semifinal number two where second ranking from first poll and first ranking for second poll will play and the winner will be in the final. And the one who wins in the final is the winner of the tournament.

Till now six times T20 World Cup has been played where West Indies have won a couple of times and following that Pakistan, India, England, Sri Lanka has won one time.  In 2007 the first edition of Wt20 was won by India at South Africa, defeating Pakistan in the super over. Then in 2009 the previous runner up side defeated Sri Lanka in the final at Lord’s. In 2010 England won against Australia in the final at West Indies. Following that in 2012 West Indies defeated Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka home ground. After losing 2 finals Srilanka finally won against India in the final at Bangladesh 2014. Then West Indies defeated England in the final at India in 2016 winning their second title. In  2018 there was going to be held but unfortunately it got shifted in 2020. But sadly because of CoronaVirus it again shifted to 2021 in India.
