After thousands of years, from the time when the Mahabharat ended and today, when the modern science has emerged at its peak, humanity has realized similarities between Mahabharata and the Modern science. I also realized this thing at the Parents Talk Program held at Phewa hall. A father of one of the students of our school was there to present about the topic. He presented amazing things about the similarities between Mahabharata and the modern science. I would like to  mention the things he presented in front of grade 8 and 9. Mahabharata and modern science have many things in similar. The first inventions of human civilization was wheels but it was already discovered and used in Chariot wheels- so called Rath in Mahabharat. In the Mahabharata, the total estimated death was around 1.6 billion which is only possible by nuclear weapon, in today's context! The concept of transplantation was present in Mahabharat era. For instance, Ganesh had an elephant’s head and a human body. Time travel was done by King Kakudmi who travels to meet the creator Brahma. Another amazing thing is that, there were already flying vehicles(Vimana) in Mahabharat. Two lines of “Hanuman Chalisa” states the distance  of earth from the sun and which is 153,600,000 km. In the 17th century, scientists calculated the distance of of earth from the sun which is real close to the distance measured in our ancient mythology. There is also a science in worshipping Peepal tree and Tulsi tree. Peepal is probably the only tree which produces oxygen even at night. So in order to save the tree we worship it. Similarly, Tulsi has a lot of benefits, so we worship it. The reason we should not sleep with head towards the north is because our body’s magnetic field will be similar to the Earth's one and it causes problem like headache, high blood pressure and in long term it causes problems like Alzheimer, Cognitive decline, etc. There is a reason and science in our religious belief. There is a big relation between the modern science and the hindu mythology which will surely unfold as the days go by.
