DeerTales 2026 was a short film showcase and competition that provided aspiring student filmmakers with a platform to demonstrate their creativity, storytelling, cinematography, and technical skills. The event featured four original short films — Journey to New Life, Awaz, Curiosity, and Before You Forget Me — and brought together students, organizers, judges, and audiences for an engaging cinematic experience.

The films were evaluated based on storytelling, cinematography, technical execution, creativity, and sound design. Curiosity won the Overall Winner award and also received Best Cinematography for its exceptional visual presentation and storytelling. Before You Forget Me earned the Best Sound Design award for its effective audio and sound mixing.
