On February 19, 2026, the DWIT Software Club successfully organized NSTQB Ascend 2026 in collaboration with the DeerExpress Club and NSTQB. The one-day event aimed to strengthen Nepal’s software testing and quality assurance community by providing students with deeper exposure to the growing importance of software testing in the industry.
The program featured three distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights. Mr. Nishan Portoyan discussed integrating international testing standards into academic curricula. Dr. Lovelesh Beeharry focused on non-functional testing and bridging academic foundations with advanced QA practices. Mr. Dmitrij Nikolajev highlighted the connection between academic theory and practical industry experience, emphasizing automation, service delivery, and QA leadership.
Overall, the event raised awareness about software testing as a critical field, strengthened students’ foundational knowledge, promoted interactive learning with industry experts, introduced advanced techniques and emerging trends, and encouraged alignment on best practices and future initiatives for software testing in Nepal.
