The DWIT Hiking Club successfully organized a two-day hike to Bethanchowk on January 10, 2026, providing students with a refreshing escape into nature. Participants gathered at the Deerwalk Complex at 7:15 AM and departed by bus at 7:30 AM, stopping for tea at 9:00 AM before reaching the resort at 11:30 AM. After lunch at 12:00 PM and a short rest, the hike began through forested and uphill trails, with students supporting one another along the way. The group reached Bethanchowk at around 4:30 PM, where they enjoyed panoramic views of the Himalayan range, took photographs, and witnessed a beautiful sunset before returning to the resort at 6:30 PM. The evening featured dinner and a campfire session that encouraged bonding and reflection.
The second day began with breakfast at 7:30 AM, followed by preparations to return. Despite physical fatigue, participants remained enthusiastic and cooperative. After lunch at 12:30 PM, the group headed back and arrived at the college at 4:45 PM. Overall, the hike was a rewarding and successful program that strengthened teamwork, endurance, and appreciation for nature, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
