Guru Purnima is one of the major festivals celebrated in Nepal for showing respect to our teachers and gurus. It normally falls on the full moon day, either in June or July. Therefore, this day is of immense importance in showing respect to the teachers who help us walk life's way. Guru Purnima is the time when we show gratitude and appreciation for their wisdom and guidance.

Why is Guru Purnima Celebrated?

In Hindu culture, a guru is a spiritual teacher who puts us on the right path in life, imparts knowledge and wisdom, provides proper guidance, and teaches academic subjects as well as those very important lessons in life. Guru Purnima is the day we remember them all for their contribution and express our gratitude towards their support.

A guru to us is much more than a teacher. Gurus are the mentors and role models in life who help mold our character to make us better human beings. They instill in us values such as honesty, kindness, and respect. They also lead us onto the path of curiosity and never stop learning. The journey of life is much more difficult and less fulfilling if we are without gurus.

The Importance of Gurus

Gurus are very important in our life. They help us learn and grow. They teach us the right way of living and being good humans. On Guru Purnima, we get an opportunity to thank and respect them for everything they do for us.

Gurus shape our future by giving us knowledge and wisdom. They help in developing our skills and talents. They encourage us to pursue our dreams and reach the goals. The full potential cannot be achieved without guidance.

Conclusion

One such fabulous festival is Guru Purnima, that brings into the limelight the memory of all our teachers and gurus. It's a day for love, respect, and thankfulness. We thank our gurus for the wisdom and guidance and celebrate their presence in our lives. So, wishing all those wonderful teachers and gurus a Happy Guru Purnima!

Guru Purnima is more than just a festival; it is about celebrating this special guru-sishya bonding. It reminds one of the importance of education and how teachers have played an important part in our lives. Hence, as we celebrate this day, we remember to respect and cherish our teachers every day and not just on Guru Purnima.
