My eyes opened at 3:00 AM and my father standing next to me said that that day we were going on a trip to Bardia. Following our usual morning routine, we took our time, as we had already packed our belongings the previous day. Dad, feeling a bit tired, refreshed himself with a bath before we hit the road.

Later, we made a call to our maternal grandparents, and upon reaching our mother’s home, we enjoyed some tea and coffee. Afterward, we resumed our trip, making a pit stop at Muglin around noon. At 11:00 AM in Mugling, we paused at a tea place for a refreshing break. I took out my ukulele, and we began to play and sing. Following the tea break, we continued our journey.

We reached Terai, arriving there at 4:00 PM. The road varied from rough to smooth, and by 5:00

PM, we reached our destination for the day, Bhairahawa. We spent the night at a relative’s house. Waking up the next morning at 6:00 AM, we got ready and had our breakfast. Before we left the house, we bade goodbye to our relatives and set off for Bardia. The morning streets were quiet, and the fog added a special charm to the scenery. We stopped at a petrol station and restroom before continuing our journey. At 10:00 AM, we stopped at Hotel Pauwa for lunch. On the way, we enjoyed the varied sceneries and observed animals in conservation areas.

By 4:00 PM, we had arrived at Hotel Babai. On the way, our car encountered an unexpected obstacle, leading to a flat tire. After reaching the hotel, we checked in, had dinner, and retired for the night. The next morning, we headed towards Karnali Bridge, passing through several conservation areas while observing wildlife. During the journey, we had lunch in the car and reached Karnali at noon. We left our luggage at the hotel, had lunch, and visited the Karnali Bridge and a flower park. We explored the area, bought banana chips and beverages, and returned to the hotel. After checking out, we had dinner, made coffee, and called it a night. Continuing our trip, we went to Nepalgunj, stayed at City Palace, visited the India-Nepal border, did some shopping, had dinner, and slept. The next morning, we headed to Bhairahawa and later to Kathmandu.

When reaching Kathmandu, we dined at a hotel before making our way home.
