After my final term examination, we had a month-long vacation, during which I went on a trip with my family to my maternal uncles’ house, Damak, Jhapa. It took us 12 hours to reach Damak.

After we got there, we decided to visit many places. First, we visited my grandfather’s sister’s home in Gauradaha. That place was a rural area, which really felt very peaceful. After visiting Gauradaha, we went to the view tower of Damak. Damak view tower was really tall and it was almost 20 floors tall. That tower was still under construction, so we couldn’t enter the tower, but we took some photos from the outside and returned home. After staying there for a couple of days, we decided to go to Shree Antu which is in Ilam. It didn’t take much time to reach the place. There, we saw many tea-plantation areas. We somehow missed the way to head towards Shree Antu and headed towards Fikal. The place was a huge market. Soon, we headed towards Shree Antu again. That day, my family was very tired and we went to sleep. The following morning, we all woke up extremely early and went to watch the sunrise from Shree Antu’s view tower. It was very crowded. I also didn’t like the sunrise as I was thinking that I could see a similar view from the rooftop of my house back in Kathmandu.

After that day, we all returned home and my family headed back to Kathmandu. We also decided to visit Janakpur on the way and that place was extremely dirty. It was even dirtier than Kathmandu. After visiting Janaki temple, we headed back home from the vacation.
