Do the Rich Control the World?

“All humans are equal, but some are more equal than the others”

This world is political. Some people will always have more power than the others due to their wealth, fame, influence or connections. And amongst these people, the super rich, the top 1% of the world will control the major events of the world. By ‘super rich’, it doesn't mean young and new self-made entrepreneurs that have succeeded because of their unique ideas, it focuses on wealthy families that own a certain percentage of these big brand companies that we hear about on a daily basis. The rich can alter the media, the events and even governmental decisions and laws according to their interest.

We’ve heard of politicians and business owners committing tax evasion and some people even back it up with things like, “The rich gotta stay rich”, but if a man gets rich and successful, shouldn’t they contribute back to the country that gave them the opportunity to even start a business? So by that logic, the richer you are, the more taxes you pay. But even a crime like tax evasion is the surface of what the rich do. So, let’s delve deeper into how the rich actually control the world.

Another thing is, billionaires actually wish for war. Sounds sickening right? But most of the billionaires actually own some equity, if not the whole thing of weapon manufacturers and suppliers. Yes, these weapon suppliers sell the weapons to the governments of big countries. And obviously, the most demand of guns would be in war-time, so all these self-proclaimed ‘advocates of peace’ actually despise peace, well if that’s in their benefit of course. Celebrities get lighter sentences or even get away completely with their huge crimes while others get an unreasonably high fine or even jail-time for some petty crimes.

The top 1% contribute to almost half of the global economy while millions are hungry, naked and homeless. Here’s another fact- the rich don’t want world hunger, poverty or homelessness to end. Here’s why- if there are less poor people and more rich people, the value of the money they have will definitely decrease and they wouldn’t like that, would they? The term used for the rich controlling the majority of the world is ‘Plutocracy’. Now that I’ve set the baseline, let’s look at some examples.

There is a popular theory that Prince Charles or now King Charles planned the death of his wife Princess Diana as he was in love with Camilla. King Charles knew that the public loved Princess Diana and that divorce wasn’t an option so he planned her death and later got married with Camilla. But again, it’s just a theory. But still, if there’s even a slight chance that a powerful person committed a crime like murder and still got away is crazy to think about.

In conclusion, I’m not telling you that the rich control the world, there is simply no solid evidence for it. But if the light evidence and theories make sense to you, then I’m also not telling you that you’re wrong. I’ve simply presented the facts to you, so now I ask you this, “Do the Rich Control the World?”
