Unbearable

I couldn’t bear it,

I didn’t see his face.

Only the crimson staining the snow,

Seeping through just as a frothing river.

Looking at the milky white sky,

Almost a reflection of the ground.

It seemed almost inevitable,

Destiny forever cruel to all, merciful to none.

Branches of sorrow trees stab the sky,

Replicating the scene just before.

The barren woods have such ominous fog,

Everything hidden from one’s view.

Doves ripple through the air,

Released as though freedom has erupted.

Yet here I stay locked to this place,

I couldn’t bear it.
