I visited Pokhara with my family during my Dashain vacation almost four months ago. I had to wake up at 5 am so that I would not miss the bus. Packing our stuff was challenging, especially because I felt sleepy. Fortunately, we quickly found our bus, which had better and softer seats compared to others. The bus ride was long and boring, so I took a few hours to sleep. We had booked a hotel named “Hotel Mandala” and it was not easy to locate. Nevertheless, I liked our hotel.

For dinner, we enjoyed pizza, and before sleeping, we strolled around Phewa Tal, the second-largest lake in Nepal. The next day, we booked a taxi to visit every place in Pokhara. Before that, we did some boating around Phewa Tal. My brother got scared for a few moments, but I found it somewhat boring. After finishing boating, we explored various places in Pokhara, starting with Sarangkot. From the tower, located at a high viewpoint, we could see every corner of Pokhara. We had lunch before visiting the largest cave in our country, Mahendra Cave. The cave had slippery rocks and darkness, so we moved on to Pumdikot, where a giant Shiva statue stands, offering a better view than Sarangkot.

Our next destination was Peace Stupa. Although the journey was long, the place was gorgeous. On our way to Devi's Falls, my parents bought my brother and me ice cream each. Devi’s Falls was our final stop, a waterfall whose sound I could hear from a distance. Now, we had to return to our hotel, but my brother refused to go without buying a toy, and he got one. After resting for some time, as we were leaving the next day, we strolled around the streets. My father showed us a wonderful place to visit, which was the highlight of the day. We even enjoyed some bubble teas.

The next day, it was time to leave Pokhara. I felt both sad and happy. During our return, we used the same bus we had taken to arrive.
