We had our Tihar vacation for a week. I celebrated Kaag puja, Kukur Puja, Gai puja, Govardhan puja and Bhai tika with my family.

On the first day of Tihar, I did Kaag puja by offering cooked meals to crows. I also put some water by the side of the food for them. Crows are worshipped on this day with a belief of keeping ourselves away from any negativity that could harm us physically.

The next day, on Kukur puja, I worshipped our dog and offered it a beautiful garland along with its favourite foods. In the evening we all performed puja and worshipped goddess Laxmi. My mother prepared yummy sweets and meals on the day for the offerings.

On Gai puja, we couldn’t find any cows around so we just remembered the god. We did the same on Govardhan puja too.

On the day of bhai tika, I wore new clothes, put tika on my brother's forehead and prayed for his long life. My other relatives had also come to celebrate the day with us
