Earth is the only planet in the solar system that has life and has eco systems. It is the third closest planet to the Sun and the fifth largest planet in the solar system. It is also known as the Blue planet or the blue marble because about 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered with water like oceans, seas and large rivers. The rest is covered by land. However, only 3% of water is freshwater. The rest is saline water or the water from oceans and seas.
The Earth takes 365 days to complete its rotation around the Sun. The moon is the only natural satellite found on earth. The earth is surrounded by layers of atmosphere that protects us from the harmful gases.
Humans should not pollute the earth. The 3 Rs- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle can be .helpful to protect the earth. We should also conserve electricity and plant more trees to protect the earth
