Do Video Games Make You Violent?

As the digital world gets more and more advanced, so is the video game world. These days, people are playing video games more than ever. I believe that video games do make you violent. Not all of them, but some disruptive video games do make you violent.

In Nepal, there have been a few reports of people being violent because of video games like PubG Mobile, Call of Duty, Counterstrike, etc. In these kinds of games, it shows killing, bombing, torturing, etc. These types of games make you think that violence and destruction are cool, and people try to imitate them in real life.

The government of Nepal tried to ban PubG once due to multiple incidents of violence caused by it. People might say that video games refresh your mind and make you think innovatively, and while that might be true, we should also look at the amount of violence caused by them.

Video games make people so addicted to them that they spend so much time just staring at their phones or computers. Sometimes, it might even be tragic. People can lose their vision because of video games, or in some very rare cases, they might even lose their lives.

One of my friends told me that he knows a person whose brother committed suicide because he got scammed in FreeFire and spent so much of his parents’ money on the game. This is an example of cybercrime, and things are getting tragic because of video games.

All I am trying to say is that we should be careful while playing video games, and we should not believe everyone we meet on the internet.
