Can’t leave the darkness behind,
I walked through the shadows and sunshine,
And, walked through desperate times,
Walked through light and dark alike,
Even walked through pain and moment of gain,
Through days of sorrow and refrain,
Yet, I don’t feel anything different in me,
Nothing is different or nothing alike,
Still trapped inside the darkness I find,
Now, it's time to comfort and heal,
To find a way out and peace to feel.
To mend the wounds that the darkness has wrought,
And find the light that my heart has sought.
