Tihar is the festival of lights. It is also known as Deepavali or Yama Panchak. Our school was closed for the festival. During the festival, my sister came. We played a lot. There were lights everywhere. Some people were cracking firecrackers. I got frightened. There were colorful lights everywhere. I also saw people offering food to the crow. The crow enjoyed the delicious food offered to them. I saw people putting tika on the dogs. They gave them food to eat. The dogs enjoyed the food that was offered to them. In the morning, people worshipped the cow as a symbol of the Goddess Laxmi. People made beautiful rangoli to make goddess Laxmi happy. In the evening we all worshiped Goddess Laxmi. The last day of the festival was Bhaitika. I saw people putting tika on their brothers' forehead and giving them sweets and other gifts.
