This is a short story about a girl who lived with her parents. Her parents left her home alone one day. The girl's name was Skylar. Skylar was alone and scared at home when a face appeared through a window.

The date was November 5. Skylar was left alone at home while her parents went out to supper. As Skylar's parents left the house, the door shut. She hurried to her room and climbed into bed. She pulled out her phone and began to watch. She heard the loudest thud coming from outside after a few hours. She wanted to look out the window but hesitated to get out of bed due to her fear. Suddenly, she heard singing coming from within her home. She yelled to get the attention of her neighbors. Thankfully, the neighbors heard her, and one of them looked all around the home but found nothing. Skylar returned to bed as soon as she felt calm. She then walked downstairs to grab a snack for later in the evening when she heard footsteps behind her. She hurriedly glanced back to check, but no one was there, so she once more turned to face the front.

When she turned, a face could be seen in the window. Not your typical maid, as Skylar describes her. It was dressed like a maid. A face that seemed as though a cat had clawed it 5,000 times and long hair with two bows on either side. Black and white made up the face. She was then pulled from behind while being seized by her hair. She raised her head to observe the maid sitting at the window now behind her clutching her hair.
She looked up to find the maid taking her to the attic while holding her ponytail. Skylar was thrown inside an old box by the maid. She was then shoved within, and it was tapped. The maid seemed to be wrapping a significant gift.

When Skylar's parents returned, they did not find her daughter. The mother believed Skylar had been abducted. The following morning, Skylar's missing poster was visible all across the city. Over a thousand people gathered to search the nearby shops and forests for Skylar. The parents were so concerned that they hoped Skylar was still alive, but they were unaware that Skylar was actually wrapped up in a box in the attic. Except for the attic, the cops searched the entire house. Two officers visited Skylar's home one day. They were expecting to say that they were unable to locate Skylar and that either she may not be alive or that the kidnapper had taken her outside of the city. As they were going to depart after saying this, they heard screaming. Is there anyone else at home? The cops questioned the mother and the father. Mom and dad disapproved. Another noise was heard. Police officers went in the direction of the noise. The police followed the noise into the attic where they discovered the old box. Skylar's mother said, "It's moving." The police approached and carefully opened the box. Skylar suddenly and unexpectedly exited the box and began sobbing. Everyone was delighted to find Skylar, but the hurricane's intensity was once more taking Skylar away.
