All of my life,
I've been in search of peace
That was nowhere to be found.
I changed directions
As my impulsive thoughts headed everywhere,
Aimlessly with no destinations
But all in vain,
I did not find peace anywhere.
But then you showed up.
I found solace in your eyes,
Your voice that gave me courage,
Your embrace filled me with passion.
I felt purity in your soul
The love in your heart;
All of which made me feel safe
And gave me peace
And everything that I was ever looking for.
