On August 28, we the students of grade 10 attended the parent’s talk program which was held in Phewa hall of the school. The topic of the talk was “Insurance and its history”.
Mr. Drona Pokhrel was the speaker. Firstly, he summarized the history of insurance and its origin. He explained how insurance originated from Babylon and later explained how it flourished in England during the industrial revolution. After that, insurance was introduced in Nepal. Insurance is of many types. Some of the major ones are;
i) Marine insurance
ii) Aviation insurance
iii) Motor accident insurance
iv) Health insurance
v) Life insurance
The talk was very informative. He also suggested that we get travel insurance when we go abroad for higher-level education.
