It was on Monday, Sifal School took the students of Grade VI and VII to Jyapu Museum at Lalitpur. On that day, we went to school, gathered with our friends and came downstairs in line and got on the bus. I sat on the last seat of the bus.  When we reached the museum we saw many things related to Newari culture such as dhime baja, cultural dress, khi:baja, dha:baja, nyakhi, models of various Jatras celebrated by Newars such as Kumari Jatra, Rato Machindranath, tools they used for cooking such as Chimta, Kota, Chimaa, Dhiki. We also got to know about various festivals celebrated by Newars like Mha Puja. On the day of Gobardhan Puja , people in newar community celebrate Mha Puja. This day is also celebrated as the New Year in Newar community. Overall, the trip was very informative and fun. We got to learn a lot about Newari culture, people, festivals celebrated by them, equipment they use, and so on.
