We went on a field visit with Grade 8 to Nepal Police Canine Division of Province-3. We saw and learned many things over there. We got to know that dogs can do very beneficial things for us. According to the facility, dogs are used for four main purposes. One is to find explosives, find illegal drugs, find dead or alive people and to find criminals. They did not only show us how dogs do it but gave us theoretical knowledge also. According to them, the start of this dog service was done in 2026 B.S. There are 48 dogs in Kathmandu and 89 dogs in total all over Nepal. They further told that dogs are very good at smelling things because of their well-developed olfactory system. They have 225M-300M olfactory cells. German Shepherd is also called the all-rounder dog that can do many tasks, almost all of them. We saw the dogs do many tasks mentioned above. At last, the field visit was very interesting and fun.
