We, Grade X students, were taken to Nepal Police Canine division which is located at Maharajgunj on July  8, 2019, Monday. We were taken by the school bus to the location. We left the school at around 10 AM and we reached there at around 10:30 AM. Dr.Ram Chandra Satyal guided us. He described to us different dog categories.   Nepal Police Canine division was established in 2032 BS. Among 300 dogs 20 dogs are used for police service. He informed us that there are 8 different dog breeds. We were shown a demonstration of all 8 dogs about how they worked. German Shepherd is used to investigating the crime. Hound is used for finding out narcotics and other drugs which are meant to be illegal. Sniffing scent is used by sniff dogs to identify the criminals. Dogs are ready when they wear uniforms.  I found jumping dogs very enjoyable and they were trained very well. They were bold and energetic. Hence, we learned many things about dogs. The trip was informative, knowledgeable and enjoyable.
