YouTube is an app that is used by almost all the people in the world where different people make different categories of videos. It has many advantages and disadvantages. It is a modern profession and also a platform for entertainment and information.
It was founded on February 14, 2005, by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim who were all early employees of Paypal. As per the report of October 2020 more than 2 billion people use it. Some videos are made for kids like cartoons and animations. The age-restricted videos can only be seen by 18+ people. As per the report of May 2019, there were more than 500 hours of content uploaded in a minute and one billion hours of content being watched on Youtube every day.
People watch videos on youtube for entertainment, to learn dance/music, to get an education, and to learn extra activities. People spend a lot of time watching content like comedy, dramas, movies, news, games, etc. Youtube is all in one platform where we can watch the news, listen to music, watch movies, and many other things. The viewers have the right to rate, comment and subscribe to a video or any specific channel.
Youtube is also a profession because people earn money for getting the highest views, advertisements, and sponsors. Many YouTubers work as a full-timer and some do it as a part time. Youtube has made many people famous. To avoid uploading other’s content or sound, YouTube has made a system called copyright. If we copy others' content we will not get the copyright. If we get three copyright complaints the channel can get deleted within a week. Many YouTubers spend the whole day making youtube videos in different content and languages.
It is used as a profession and is a great source of entertainment and knowledge. Its influence could be seen during the lockdown where it helped people a lot to pass their days during the lockdown.
