Pros and cons of winter vacation

Winter vacation is a vacation given to any organization due to severe cold weather. Winter vacation is mostly given in December or early January because the northern part of the world tends to be colder in December and January but this winter we didn't experience cold like in the past winter because of, I guess, global warming! When my winter vacation started it was the 1st of January, we took our exams so I was excited to get a well deserved break . It wasn’t that long though. We only got seven days of winter break. To think about it, I analyzed the days and came across the pros of winter vacation:

  1.  I  relaxed, played games and enjoyed two major festivals of the world; Christmas and the New Year with my family. Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. The festival is celebrated on the 25th of december and the New Year is the festival to indicate the beginning of a new year. New year is celebrated on the eve.
  2.  I  skipped the cold winter by staying home.
  3.  I spent quality time with my family.
  4.  I  enjoyed winter in the comfort of my home.
  5.  I got to do household work apparently helping my parents.

Despite these benefits, there were some major cons of winter vacation:

  1. I became unproductive and lazier in the course of seven days.
  2. We lost time to complete our courses earlier and the new chapters were delayed due to the winter vacation.
  3. I  also started feeling bored.
  4. I slept too much so I missed a lot of things.

For me the winter vacation was enjoyable in spite of its disadvantages. It is a good way to refresh our brain and spend time with our family and enjoy winter. Nowadays, people are so dedicated to their work that they have less time to spend with their family and I think winter vacations are best for refreshing our mind and spending some time with our family
