Pashupatinath Temple

Pashupatinath temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple. It is located on the bank of Bagmati river, which is one the holiest river of Nepal. It is situated five kilometers north-east of Kathmandu in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley, the capital city of Nepal. The supreme holiness of Pashupatinath streams from the ‘Shiva Linga’ enshrined in its main temple. Pashupatinath temple is the most important temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are 492 temples inside Pashupatinath.
