Due to Covid-19, many people lost their lives and still many are infected. Schools from different countries have been closed for a long time. Our school has also shut down physically. Since physical presence in the school was not possible, every school from different countries, even schools from Nepal, decided to start e-learning also known as online classes. We all were excited as well as nervous about online classes because it was our first time learning through online classes. We are taking our classes with the help of GoogleMeet and have been submitting our classwork/homework through google classroom.
We even took the first term examination through google forms. It has already been eight months that we have started taking online classes. Still the coronavirus pandemic hasn’t stopped. Since the schools have been closed for many months, the Nepal government has decided to reopen the schools. Many schools have already been opened outside the valley. Our school might as well open soon. I am sad as well as excited to go back to school. The good thing is I get to meet my friends and teachers after a long time. I am sad because it was fun learning in online classes. Learning through online classes was a great experience. We were also used to it.
Now, if the school reopens we will all go to school with great precautions. Through online classes, we learned to use different applications for doing homework and also got to know more about using computers. But there are also disadvantages to taking online classes. It hampers our eyes and our handwriting also changes from good to bad as we often type. Advantages of learning in school are; we learn all 8 subjects, there will be an improvement in handwriting, classroom discussions, and activities, and we can interact with teachers and friends. It’s better to study books instead of e-books. In my opinion, learning at school is better than learning through online classes.
